Care Instructions

All items should be treated as if they are cast iron. This process with make them food-safe and helps to prevent rust, as items are raw steel.

1) Heat the item to around 350°F (175°C) in an oven or on a grill for 5 to 10 minutes.

2) Carefully remove the item from the heat and wipe it down with a high smoke-point oil (vegetable, canola, grapeseed, avocado, flaxseed, ect.). We recommend using Pam spray as it gets into all the twists and bends.

3) Return the item to the oven or grill and heat it again to 350°F (175°C) for another 5 to 10 minutes and then all to cool.

*This process should be repeated once a year to maintain the items.

**It is highly recommended to oil the item outside as it tends to smoke a lot.

How to Treat Items

Oil Lamps

For the best burn, we reccomed using conoali oil or penut oil in your oil lamp. To fill the lamp, simply pit the oil into the bowl until it reaches just below the wick. This will ensure the steady burn that will last for hours.

You can also add citronella oil, which is a natural insect repellent, along with various other essential oils to mimic a candle.

Our lamps use 100% cotton wicks, which can easily be replaced and are widely available at most hardware stores.
